Do you remember the old “Calgon, take me away,” commercials? We all work hard and deserve a little pampering. However, we don’t always have the time for luxurious baths, manicures, facials and other splurges. Well, I’ve got something super easy and sophisticated to share with you…
Lavender Sugar
Ingredients:
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp (food grade) lavender buds
Directions:
Place both ingredients in a food processor and blend for about a minute or until the lavender buds are thoroughly incorporated throughout your sugar.
Then just place in a jar with a tight fitting lid. I placed some in a sugar dispenser and some in a recycled jar.
How to use:
- Use lavender sugar in place of regular sugar in your coffee or tea…you will feel like a princess
- Use lavender sugar in place of regular sugar in your favorite sugar cookie recipe to create a sophisticated treat
- Next time you slice up some strawberries, sprinkle some lavender sugar on them, place in the refrigerator, and then enjoy either on top of yogurt, ice cream, short cake, or as is.
If you haven’t entered July’s Party Thyme giveaway (an ice cream maker or a set of August’s features spices) you have until midnight tonight. Just go HERE.
I hope you allow lavender sugar to “take you away” and make you feel like the princess that you are!

Okay- when you quoted “Calgon, take me away!” I was like, “Yes – you are a kindred spirit, Marilyn.”
This lavender sugar looks so fabulous. I can imagine Lila’s face if I served lavender sugar at our tea party – she’d be thrilled! (It’s like Fancy Nancy!)
