Okay, I’ve got the neatest trick to show you today. Yup! You will be totally blown away and you will be taking labels off of every jar you own!
Now before I go further, I’d like to share with you how I used to remove labels from my jars. My old method was to fill the sink with the hottest water that would come out of the tap. Add some soap and place my jars in the sink to soak. After about 10 minutes, the label would come off with only a bit of glue residue left on the jar that would easily wipe off. Well, manufacturers must be using new adhesives or something because my old method just doesn’t work. Check out this picture.
Isn’t the jar on the right looking good? Are you ready to see how I did this? Well, why don’t you remove some labels with me? First grab some jars. Here’s my three jars.
Now, starting at the corner, pull up the label just a bit. Then, grab your blow dryer again and heat up more of the label.
Here are my three jars after! Looking good, don’t you think? The old “bean” jar and the peanut butter jar both have just a touch of glue residue left. To remove this, Cheryl of That’s What Che Said has a great tutorial using 2 ingredients (I know you have in your house) that will take this little bit of residue off in no time.
Now, that I have label-less jars, it’s time to bring on the spray paint!
