Well, it’s back to school season and when you grocery shop, along with the traditional “eggs, bread, and milk” you’ve probably added peanut butter. Am I right? Well, did you know that it is super easy to make your own nut butters at home?
I’ve previously shared how I make Chocolate Almond Butter but today I’m going to make the typical nut butter into a truly decadent treat. Let’s take a look, shall we?
Can you guess what I’m sharing today? Let me share my inspiration for you first. My daughter’s boyfriend’s favorite cookies are White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies but he also enjoys coconut. These flavors inspired my Coconut White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies. Well, his favorite cookies inspired today’s nut butter!
Doesn’t it look absolutely delicious? Trust me, when you take a taste, you’ll think you died and went to heaven. All you need is a food processor and 3 ingredients. Are you ready?
Ingredients:
- 1 cup roasted cashew pieces (you’re grinding them so pieces are fine)
- 2 cups roasted macadamia nuts
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Directions:
Place the cashew pieces in a food processor fitted with the large blade. Process approximately 2 minutes or until the nuts are ground and just beginning to clump.
Add the macadamia nuts and process about 1-2 minutes until smooth. Note: Macadamia nuts have a high fat content so they turn to butter very quickly. That is why we started just the cashews.
Now, add the white chocolate chips and process another minute or so until your butter is nice and smooth.
Pour your butter into a jar and enjoy! Trust me, this butter is super yummy. It’s not quite as stiff as some other nut butters but it is oh, so good!
How will you enjoy your White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Butter? I’m thinking it would be great with strawberries?
