I never used to like brussels sprouts. Of course, I had only had frozen ones that had been steamed or boiled. I would hear people say they loved brussels sprouts but I always thought they were crazy. That is, until I saw an episode of “Take Home Chef”.
In this episode, Curtis Stone made brussels sprouts that everyone loved! He started with fresh brussels sprouts, cut off the ends and removed any loose leaves, and then sauteed them. Curtis explained that the browning of the vegetables brought out the natural sugars making them wonderful. Well, I tried this at home and it’s true. However, I had difficulties making them all cook evenly since they vary in size. Here’s my solution. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Ah, a fellow Aussie. I thought you were going to say YOU ran into him in the supermarket and he cooked for YOU. LOL I’m not a big fan of brussel sprouts Marilyn but I might have to give this a try.

Wow, this looks good. I like the idea of shredding them as the center is often tasteless. Thanks for sharing,

These look good, although I’ll admit I’m not a big fan of brussels sprouts! I might have to try them fresh!
