“Hi, my name is Marilyn and I am a B&BW Candle-a-holic”. Yes, I absolutely LOVE the candles at B&BW…they have so many amazing fragrances and when you light one, the scent fills the room. Do you have this same problem?
Well, I recently picked up a couple of their 3-wick candles….they were having a sale and the autumn scents are amazing. I decided that I wanted to decorate my candle for Halloween but I didn’t want to do anything permanent because I love to re-use the jars for cotton balls, Q-tips, craft supplies, and more. I also didn’t want this project to take much time.
I love how it turned out! Do you have 15 minutes and want to give your candle a holiday makeover? Here’s how!
15 Minute Halloween Candle
Supplies:
- Candle that comes in a glass jar…like the awesome candles from Bath & Body Works!
- 2 Rolls of orange patterned washi tape and 2 rolls of black patterned washi tape (these are from previous Pick Your Plum Deals)
Instructions:
First you will need to remove any labels on the outside of your candle. Bath and Body Works labels come off very easily. If a bit of the glue residue remains (with B&BW candles) you can take the sticker that you just peeled off and press it against the residue…..after a couple of tries, the residue will get stuck to the glue on your removed label and your jar is good to go. You can also try my trick to remove labels from jars.
Then, begin covering your candle with washi tape. I chose to follow this 4 stripe sequence bu you can do whatever tape sequence you choose.
And here’s the final product. Super easy, fun, and you can easily remove the washi tape when Halloween is over or when you’ve burned your candle and are ready to re-purpose the jar.
