Let’s take another look. Doesn’t this look absolutely delicious? Trust me, the addition of lavender takes vanilla ice cream from plain to sophisticated My guys were totally blown away. Are you ready to make some?
Lavender Vanilla Ice Cream
- 2 cups half and half
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp food grade lavender buds
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
Add the vanilla and heavy cream and stir thoroughly to combine.
Strain your milk/cream mixture to remove all the lavender buds. Place in a jar and refrigerate a minimum of 2 hours. It should be cold.
Place your cold milk/cream mixture into an ice cream maker and process according to directions. It will have the consistency of soft serve (if you want your ice cream to be firmer, place it in a container and freeze until the ice cream had reached the desired consistency).
Serve up and enjoy. Extras should be stored in the freezer.
