My family loves garlic. No, take that back….they LOVE garlic! We go through so much garlic that I purchase it at Costco in a 3 pound package. Yup, 3 pounds!
Now as much as we all love garlic, I do not like peeling it. The skins can be difficult to remove and your fingers smell! Well, I found a new way to peel garlic that is so easy. Here, check it out!
Start with a clove of garlic, cutting board, and sharp knife.
First cut both ends of your garlic clove. It does not matter if the skin on the bottom is still attached but you need to cut through the entire clove.
Now, just cut the clove in half. Look how the peel almost jumps off?
I won’t promise that this technique will have every piece of skin “jump” off your clove but it works 99% of the time! “Good Bye stinky garlic fingers!”

Am I the only one who actually likes that my fingers smell of garlic after I cut some? I’ve never had much problem peeling off the skin, though… but this trick is always at the back of my mind!

Great advice my friend. That’s the way I do it too although I don’t go through garlic as much as what you do, by the sounds of it!

My family LOVES garlic too! I was just thinking yesterday as I peeled my 10th clove, “Man, I wish there was an easier way to get this skin off!” Thanks for showing this! Can’t wait to try it.
