Yesterday I shared with you my super simple recipe for Salted Caramel Vodka. Trust me it is ssssoooo good and incredibly simple! Well, I’ve got another super easy and yummy flavored vodka recipe to share with you today.
Toffee Vodka
We had a small snow the other day that luckily wasn’t bit enough to cause any traffic problems but it sure helps in a photo shoot, don’t you think? Anyway, onto the recipe. You just need two ingredients and some time.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup 80 Proof (40%) vodka
- 20-25 unwrapped Werther’s Hard Candies
Directions:
It’s super easy, just place the unwrapped candies in a mason jar, add the vodka and put the lid back on.
Then give your jar a good shake. Occasionally give your jar another shake while you are waiting for your candy to dissolve. It took mine about 2 days to thoroughly dissolve. It will look like it has separated: there will be a darker liquid with a lighter colored “head”.
Now it’s time to strain your toffee vodka to remove the scum. Just grab a fine mesh strainer and line it with a coffee filter. Pour your vodka in a bit at a time…the scum will clog up your filter. Replace the filter as needed. Once your vodka is strained, place it in a glass jar and label it!
See, doesn’t this make an awesome gift? Trust me, your friends will LOVE this one.
I’ve got a lot more gifts from the kitchen for you! Also, tomorrow I am kicking of this year’s “Homemade Holiday Party”. Check back for more info!
