Happy Earth Day, everyone! As you know, I’ve been cooking up a storm this month. With all the goodies I’ve been making, I’ve created a lot of kitchen scraps. So, I thought it would be a great Earth Day activity so share with you some ideas I found to help us keep our compostable kitchen scraps out of the landfill.
Do you only have a small space for composting? Don’t Mess with Mama shares some small space composting tips.

Not everything is compostable. Check this lists from Brightnest to see what you should avoid.
I have composted in the past but just had a compost heap near my garden. I really want to create an actual composting unit. I’m trying to decide which one I’ll try. What do you do with your kitchen scraps?

I love composting! I’m not sure what the bigger thrill is, seeing all that yuck turn into the dark nutrient for my gardens or, all of the worms in said gardens eating away and pooping and aerating (all good things for a garden LOL)!!

composting is such a wonderful reuse of resources. we had our first compost last year which good success. I look forward to learning more from these links to improve the process, especially during the winter months when the composting process slows down. thanks for the roundup!

What great ideas! Composting is so smart. It was a long time before I knew not everyone did it – my family was a bunch of gardeners.
