When the thermometer rises, what is your go-to beverage when you need some refreshment? My family loves lemonade, especially strawberry lemonade. In years past, I have picked up some jars of Santa Cruz brand lemonade but I decided to try making some from scratch with fresh ingredients.
Look how it turned out! Isn’t the pink blush color simply gorgeous? It is so easy to make and absolutely delicious.
Of course, I must admit that I absolutely love the flavor combination of berries and lemon. It doesn’t matter if it’s blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries. Berries and lemon are flavor match made in heaven.
And not only do these flavors taste amazing together, aren’t they gorgeous? Just look…..there are so many goodies just waiting to be created using fresh lemons and berries.
MMMMMM. Okay, Marilyn, focus….back to the strawberry lemonade. My family truly LOVED this and I think you will too. Here’s the recipe.
Strawberry Lemonade
Ingredients:
- 1 lb strawberries, hulled
- 2 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice (be sure to remove all the seeds. If you don’t like pulp, pour your lemon juice through a fine mesh sieve)
- 2 cups sugar
- 12 cups cold water
