Happy Saturday! It’s going to be a hot one here today…sunny with highs in the 90s which is perfect grilling weather. This is great because today begins my grilling marathon. Yes, I’ll be sharing 12 grilling inspirations over the next 4 days…3 each day. One at 10:00 am, one at 3:00 pm and one at 7:00 pm. Are you ready?
Grilled Black Peppered Scallops
Don’t they look delish? This recipe is super easy. The only fancy schmancy part is the actual scallops! Trust me, if you like scallops you’ll love this recipe. My hubby was totally blown away!
Here’s what you need:
- 1 pound scallops (rinsed and patted dry)
- Bamboo Skewers (soaked for a minimum of 30 minutes)
- Olive Oil
- Applewood Smoked Sea Salt or Kosher Salt
- Fresh ground black pepper
- Oh, and a grill
Once your grill is hot, first oil your grates. Then place your scallops on the hot grill and cook about 2-3 minutes. Then flip over and grill an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side. Your scallops will be firm and opaque.
Don’t these look wonderful? Serve them up with a nice green salad. Trust me, if you like scallops, you’ll LOVE grilled scallops.
Stop back at 3:00 pm today for inspiration no. 2!
