Raise your hand if you like short cake! Come on, raise your hand high, don’t be shy. Now, raise your hand if you like a banana split! So, what if we combined the two and made a banana split short cake….but grilled? Sound yummy or weird? I think You’ll find it yummy! Here’s inspiration no. 10.
Grilled Banana Split Short Cake
Ingredients:
- Grilled Bananas, cut into chunks
- Grilled Pineapple, cut into chunks with the core removed
- 1 pound Strawberries, cut into chunks
- Juice of 1 Lime
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- Slices of Angel Food Cake
- Vanilla Ice Cream, Vanilla Yogurt, or Whipped Cream
Directions:
Place your chunked strawberries, lime juice and sugar in a bowl. Stir and place in the refrigerator a minimum of 30 minutes to marinate.
If you haven’t already grilled your bananas and pineapple, do so.
Gather your ingredients close to your grill.
Over a medium hot grill, place your slices of angel food cake. Grill until nice brown char lines appear and then flip over to grill on the other side. Once the second side has grill marks, remove the cake from the grill.
Now assemble your short cake by placing a piece of grilled angel food cake on the bottom of your bowl. Add some grilled bananas, grilled pineapple, and marinated strawberries. Top off with a scoop of ice cream, vanilla yogurt, or whipped cream.

That looks divine!

This looks so yummy and the best part is that it’s grilled. Food always tastes so much better when it’s cooked and eaten outside. Thanks for stopping by and linking up to Fluster Buster’s Creative Muster Party! Looking forward to seeing what you’re going to link up next week.
