If you thought my obsession with DIY lotions and potions was over, you’re mistaken. I’m still having a blast experimenting with oils, beeswax, fragrances, and more. My most recent experience was inspired by….
The ingredient list includes castor oil, coconut oil, vitamin E oil, and beeswax. Simple enough. Now, it’s just a matter of finding the right proportions. With coconut oil being solid at room temperature and beeswax being an emulsifier that adds “hardening” qualities, I knew I needed to limit their quantities. I was looking for a consistency that was firm yet very spreadable. You’ll be happy to know that just like the other “Spa Day Saturday” goodies I’ve shared with you, this is super easy and oh, so quick to make.
Non-Petroleum Jelly
If you haven’t started trying to make some of your own spa goodies, you really should. It really is fun!

Awesome! I love that you’ve shared a way to get that petroleum jelly type product but without relying on petroleum or other fuel byproducts. Thank you!

Isn’t caster oil … eh…. car oil? Explain, my dear, so I can be enlightened also. I love homemade wholesomeness…

I love this! I just bought a big jar of coconut oil and have been using it as lotion by itself. I’m going to try this. Thanks! I found you via One Artsy Mama and I would be thrilled if you visited my cleaning tips blog.
Have a fabulous weekend,

This is a great recipe. Lately I have been using lanolin as my go to for everything. The only problem is that it is so sticky. But I love that it is natural.
