Are you often times inspired by something your mom used to make when you were growing up? I am all the time! This Easter goodie is one of those.
My mom was a member of a Homemaker’s Club that met once a month. After one of these meetings, she came home and made some Chow Mein Noodle Candy (milk chocolate, butterscotch, and chow mein noodles). Well, what if I adapted it for Easter and added Eggs? This is super easy and it you just need 3 ingredients.
Chow Mein Noodle Candy Nests
Ingredients:
1 package chow mein noodles
1 package milk chocolate chips
1 package M&Ms (I used these Easter peanut butter m&ms since they are speckled like eggs)
Directions:
In a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips.
To the melted chocolate, add the chow mein noodles and stir to evenly coat. (I almost forgot to take this picture..hence the half empty pan.)
Drop the chow mein noodle/chocolate nests by Tablespoons onto a pan and then top with 2 or 3 “eggs” (line your pan with waxed paper, parchment paper or a silpat mat).
Once your nests have set up, remove them from your pan and enjoy! Aren’t they cute?
I’ve been doing a lot of Easter goodie creating in my kitchen the past two day and I’ve got a lot to share with you! Stop back at 2:00 pm today to see how I made tie dyed (Easter) rice crispy treats!

Great minds Marilyn. If I had some of those noodles, I would’ve made these today with the kids. Just as well as I would’ve eaten most myself! LOL
