Julie of White Lights on Wednesday and Jen of Four Marrs One Venus host a cooking challenge called “Get Your Chef On”. This is a bi-monthly party where Julie and Jen choose an ingredient to be showcased in your recipe. What is super cool about their event is you don’t have to make a unique recipe. You are also able to make and enter someone else’s recipe as long as YOU actually make the recipe, you take pictures of YOUR creation and of course, reference back to the recipe’s source. Doesn’t this sound like fun?
Yes, it’s beer. I had a couple of different recipes that I have been playing around with: Drunken Chicken and Rye Beer Bread. Today, I’m going to share with you….

Gosh that looks and sounds wonderful Marilyn. Especially lathered with butter and cold cuts.

Chocolate stout sounds like a great choice for this bread. Sounds good!

Yum! Bread is seriously my weakness. I can’t help myself. I will definitely be trying this bread out. Thanks for sharing!

I never realized there were so many great recipes for using beer to make bread. I like making ‘specialty’ breads and this sounds really good using the chocolate stout.
