Have you ever seen something and said, “Wow! That’s awesome. I want one.” Well, that’s what I said when I saw Linday’s free Love Word Art printable (from Artsy Fartsy Mama).
Isn’t this awesome? She has made it available to you in both 5×7 and 8×10 formats along with 9 different color formats. Anyway, I simply love this but I didn’t want to put it in a frame. I’ve been thinking on what kind of project to do and I decided on…..coasters! Look how they turned out!
Would you like to make your own? Here’s how I did it.
Decoupage Love Coasters
Next I cut out the 4 rectangles and placed them on top of my ceramic tiles. Alas, my hearts are too narrow to just “sqauare up” my paper and then decoupage.
So, I decided to cut out the “hearts” by hand (yup, just free hand). I placed them on the coasters and I thought they didn’t look too bad but they were rather plain. So….
out came the washi tape. I decided to just “wrap” the corners. Now, since my 4 hearts were not cut out identically (since I free handed it), I thought they would look best if each coaster was embellished differently…this way any differences wouldn’t be as noticeable.
So, I found some colored computer paper and I came up with these 3 additional “formats”.
Thanks, Lindsay, for this awesome printable…I couldn’t have made these without you. If you choose to use Lindsay’s Love Word Art Printable in your next project, be sure to follow her “guidelines for use”.
Hope your day is full of Love!
