I don’t know about you but I have a soft spot for a good smelling candle. This past holiday season I totally fell in love with “Fresh Balsam” from Bath and Body Works. This candle smelled just like a real fir tree. In fact, when my husband and sons came home and smelled it burning, they asked, “What smells like Christmas in here?”
Aside from the amazing aroma from these candles, I also love the jar that the 3 wick candle comes in. It’s a great design and the way the lid fits, you could easily re-use these jars once you can no longer light your candle.
On the left is a new candle and the right is the candle I just finished burning.
The first thing you need to do is place your candle in the freezer until your wax is “frozen”. I’m not exactly sure how long this takes. I just put it in when I go to bed at night and then take it out in the morning.
When you take your candle out of the freezer, the wax may or may not already be cracked as mine is here. Anyway, frozen wax is nice and brittle so all you need to do is use a knife to loosen the wax.
See, it comes out very easily. Once you remove all the wax, store it in a zip lock bag (I’ll be sharing some uses for your leftover wax). Then, soak your jar in hot water and the labels will come off easily.
Look how nice the empty candle jar is. I think it would be great for storing cotton balls, craft supplies, office supplies, you name it. Let the organizing begin!
Note: Be sure to remove all the wax from your jar before you wash it. Any wax that goes down your drain could clog it!

so funny I posted a project decorating one of these earlier this week. I didn’t post how I got my wax out- but I scraped mine out while soft- maybe not quite as easy as freezing it so it cracks

I will be doing this tonight when I get home! Such a fantastic and EASY idea! I, too, love the jars that the 3 wick candles come in. They are fantastic! I feel terrible “tossing them”. Well, no more!
Although my husband may start questioning my collection of jars….

Hey there! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My weblog looks weird when viewing from my iphone. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to resolve this issue.
If you have any recommendations, please share. Thank you!

of course like your website but you need to check the spelling on several of your posts.
Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I
to find it very bothersome to tell the truth however
I’ll certainly come back again.
