I so LOVE Bath and Body Work’s candles. They smell simply divine. However, when I look at the ingredient list on their lotions, along with many other commercial lotions, and I don’t like what I see. A lot of ingredients that seem to come from a laboratory.
So, I went to Amazon and I decided to order some beeswax, shea butter, cocoa butter, and almond oil. Why? I thought it would be great to experiment with making some of my own health and beauty products. This way, I know exactly what is in each one.
I found a recipe for Homemade Lotion that only had 3 ingredients. In the video, the lotion is made using olive oil. Well, I have extra virgin olive oil in my pantry but I didn’t want to smell like an olive. There was some extra virgin coconut oil in the pantry. I thought I’d give it a go. Here’s how it turned out.

I think that you could probably leave the beeswax out for a softer butter?
