I’m having a blast creating quick and easy holiday decorations with just few supplies and a little time. Today I’m sharing with you some pine cone fun. All you need are pine cones, pompoms, and Elmer’s glue.
Pine Cone Winter Decorations
You can use pine cones you find in the forest. Be sure to bake them in an oven to kill any bugs and critters that may be living in them. I chose to purchase cinnamon scented pine cones at Michael’s so my decorations would smell yummy too.
Also, the pom poms need to be small ones. I used ones that were 0.39 inches or 9.9 mm.
I found it works best to put a bit of glue onto the pine cone first and then place your pom pom on the glued area. Continue working and gluing pom poms all around your pine cone.
Look how cute and pretty these are. These are quick and easy to make. The only time consuming part is the glue drying.
If you missed the first two day’s of holiday inspirations, here they are: spice jar ornaments and a bow tree.
I’ll see you tomorrow with more homemade holiday inspirations!

What great ideas! When my daughter was little, we used to decorate pine cones. Now I made ornaments for the birds with them.

Oh, and you can also put glue on the tips of the pinecone “leaves” and dip in glitter. That’s also a cute project.
